Because of a recent incident where a tour guide was killed by a falling rock... we didn't go to a place stated in the itinerary- Taroko.
instead.. went to a place facing the Pacific Ocean.. to pick up marble pieces.. there were tonnes n tonnes of marble pieces... i was looking for some unique shape and sizes.. didn't keep much.. cuz i think i also dun know wad to do with thoose stones..hahah... other than the stones.. the view was reallie breathe taking.. not to mention the fresh air and strong winds..haha...
After tat, went to another temple... after the short stop at the temple.. went to check in at a Hot-spring hotel called Chihpen Toon Mao hotel... real natural hot spring de leh..ahaha.. the hot spring is just beside the hotel building.. furthermore, the hot spring water can be obtain in the hotel room.. just turn the tap to hot water... personally, i didn't quite like the smell of the hot spring water... sulphur smell aka overcooked or rotten egg... but not so jia lat till like rotten egg la.... just got tat sulphur smell... den i was like thinking.. when i splash my face with the hot water in the hotel, i m similiarly washing my face with egg? hahah...
well, i didn't see any other family coming down for the hot spring except for our family.. we soak in the hot spring for 2 times of 10 mins.. they said can't soak inside for too long each time.. dun know y they dun want.. maybe they use it in the hotel... dun know...
they even sold eggs for us to cook in the hot spring.. abit lame ba..haha
Day 4
this morning went to Fo Guan Shan... another temple place... okok la.. just walked around.. however, the lunch after the trip round the temple was veri good!! got fresh fish n pig trotters... got other dishes like lobster meat (cold dish) .. too bad didn't took photo of the food.. will try to get some pics..haha... here are a few pics taken this morning...
Afternoon went to some other places like the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas... We also stopped over some stalls, its part of the tour guide's income ba... cuz he earn a percentage comission of the sales.... If i recallled correctly, we went to a pearl shop, fruit, royal jelly ( bee's honey thingy), jade/feng shui shopt, Ling Zhi , throughout the whole week of trip....
One of the fruit shops we went.. it looks like soursop.. but its super sweet one.. when its ripe, the fruit is veri soft...
these 2 pics are taken from the pearl shop... they will grind the pearl in front of u, when u buy their pearsl, into powder.. den u can use as facial, health drink etc...
This is taken from the Royal Jelly shop.. selling the bee's honey related stuff.. got a chance to taste the pollen powder.. super bitter..haha...
At night, went to Love River and took the love river boat.. the ride was okok... just travelled up and down part of the river.. only a small portion of the whole love river is open to public to roam around on the boat.. the tour guide said tat many jumped into this river at night... so if we want to walk around tat area at night... maybe night to be prepared to be questioned by police patrolling tat area...
this pic of a firework was taken by my dad.. when we just alight from the love boat.. there were fireworks above a hotel.. it was to welcome a very VIP guest... the tour bus driver said the VIP guest was Mr Chen Shui Bian
After tat.. went to our 2nd night market.. basket.. the tour guide gave us 1hr 45 to walk only la... zzzz.. but the reason for tat is bcos both the driver n tour guide don't stay the same hotel as us... save money for the agency.. so have to travel some distance after we book in the hotel.. so can't book in the hotel too late.. otherwise it would be too tiring for them... furthermore, the tour guide said that this night market sell slightly more expensive than the 2 night markets tat we are going to visit in the next 2 days... so in the end, my family just looked around and bought some makan to munch while walking...
