well, i heard from some stories from a "story teller"... he was talking about torture and pain... and tat linked to how japanese torture the POWs in the past. like pumping water to the person's stomach to make it bloated, den pressing the stomach, allowing water to gush out from all places- nose, mouth, ears etc...
another thing was a very thin bamboo plate is pushed under the POWs finernails, pushing in till they are willing to confess. after tat, they pulled out the plate, with the finger nail... and *OUCH* i can't imagine my fingernail dropping out or being pulled out by force... furthermore the "story teller" jokingly said they add salt to the wound, literally... *ouch ouch*
the "story teller" said he admired those who had the courage to bear all these torturous events and not confess anything. "if i were them, i would say anybody, like my neighbour" . In addition, he said war is never a good thing, its ugly... so if there were to be a war, make sure u are on the winning side...
although he joke alot.. but the message he want to bring is tat war is never a good thing.. even if u are on the "winning side" ... cuz imo nobody "wins" or benifits in a war...
another story he linked from war was the youth in S'pore... quite long ago, in an article citing singaporean uni graduates are still asking pocket money from their parents... even though they can work or have started working...
he then said "u youths are a parasite, once we remove the host- your parents, u r dead ...... one day whe u become the "host" den u know wad i mean...."
"nowadays the young are terrible... they want the lastest handphone gadgets... know wad they will say? "
kid: "i want this hp model"
parent: "no"
kid: "dun give me?"
(parent shoke his/her head)
kid: " u dun love me"
